So rare to find one,
mostly only while your alone
A soul within the deep,
calling you home
A haunting beautiful melody,
carried upon the wind
Calls from the sea,
searching for a lover and friend
Sweet enchantment yet loneliness,
are heard within the song
Just over the waves,
he knows he's not alone
Her spirit fills the breeze,
swaying with the tide
Will they ever meet?
Or will she disappear and hide
The wind now dies to a whisper,
the song fades away
Making him now wonder,
if he dreamed it all this day
Then later off the bay again,
he sees her reflection in moonlight
A mermaid just out of his reach,
not to be captured by him tonight
